UniqueHoodia

Every hoodia diet pill brand takes great pleasure in advertising their brand as the best and superior to everyone else. So there is a great effort to call the hoodia they sell as hoodia gordonii plus or hoodia XT. What does this really signify? Does it mean that the hoodia is more concentrated? Or that it is more potent and works better than the others? Does it mean that it works faster? Unfortunately, none of these claims have been substantiated as yet with no hoodia research of any worth been done and published. Hoodia is classified as a supplement and therefore falls outside the purview of the FDA which means that it is not judged by its stringent rules and does not have to qualify and quantify its claims.

The plus term could also stand for hoodia mixed with other herbs as in hoodia plus something else which is also good for weight loss. One such herb is garcinia cambogia which is finding a great market as a slimming aid. Add an appetite suppressant to a weight loss herb and most people think that they have come up with a winner. How does this translate for the consumer? All these claims could just be tall claims. What is a bit worrying is that when a person buys what he thinks are hoodia diet pills, little realizing that there are other ingredients too, he could be in danger where his health is concerned. He could have asked for his doctor’s advice about whether it would be safe to have hoodia with whatever medications or supplements he is taking and once he got the green signal, he would go off and do just that. He would not realize if there are complications that it could have been the other herbs that were reacting with something he was taking. Natural herbs have to be taken with caution too – they do have reactions with certain drugs.

Many of the brands have certification on their web site – either from CITES or from a reputed chemical analysis laboratory. Now this need not be absolutely authentic. Most could be of course but certification can be faked and laboratory analysis could be genuine because a genuine hoodia sample was sent while the tablets that are marketed could have fake hoodia. There is many a hoodia scam that is taking place so it is better to check online at maybe a hoodia forum or two so that one can get some idea of the brands that seem to be working with other people. It is rather unfortunate that one cannot take these claims at face value but it would be far better to do a weeding out initially than suffer the consequences of ill heath and complications later.
